You may need to shake the oral suspension well just before you measure a dose. Measure liquid medicine with the dosing syringe provided, or with a special dose-measuring spoon or medicine cup. If you do not have a dose-measuring device, ask your pharmacist for one.
Sometimes, it can both help and hurt at the same time. For example, prednisone can help migraines, but also some people can have a headache when going through prednisone withdrawal. Wash your hands well, and report any symptoms of infection to your healthcare provider. If you have been on Prelone pills daily, for a long period of time, serious side effects may occur if you discontinue the medication abruptly. Do not stop taking this medication unless directed by your healthcare provider. Also, existing emotional instability or psychotic tendencies may be aggravated by corticosteroids. Aspirin should be used cautiously in conjunction with corticosteroids in hypoprothrombinemia. Growth and development of infants and children on prolonged corticosteroid therapy should be carefully observed.
